Chinese New Year Lanterns
As you can see, I'm taking some time out from editing my Vietnam photos. (*whispers* I still have Shanghai sitting on my HDD's dusty shelves.. hehe...)
My colleagues and I have been busy folding Chinese New Year lanterns. Every year our department does this for the old folks at Henderson.
We give them 2 lanterns each and a bag filled with mandarin oranges, bak-gua, bak-hu, lapcheong, wolfberries, chinese herbs and other goodies. Funds raised from selling specially designed lanterns go into buying these CNY stuff. We also hold a dinner party for them with the usual CNY games, karaoke (they love this) and a visit from the "fortune god" (chai shen ye) who will give out ang-pows to them.
This Chinese New Year, don't forget to spread joy and happiness especially to the less fortunate around you!
