Birthday Lunch

Happy Birthday, Ernest and Mag!

Another year older but wiser i hope ;-) Tomorrow is Mag and Ernest's birthday (oops.. I wrote this so late it's now their birthday TODAY!) but we had lunch today to celebrate. We went to Wiener Kaffeehaus. We had the Viennese salad which had a very nice and light potato salad, the Alt Wiener Suppentopf which is a light broth with chicken and noodles and a Gulasch Suppe. The Gulasch reminded us of the Goulash in Czech Republic. It's not quite the same but it still had that European feel to it.

Didn't order that much becos we wanted to save room for dessert! Heard that the Wiener Apfel Strudel is a must have here, and yes, it was gooooood! Wish it was warmer though.



They also make a mean Sacher Torte here with Apricot jam. The taste brought us back (how many?) years ago when we celebrated Mag's birthday at CK's friend's place in Vienna with what else but an original Sachertorte from Hotel Sacher!



How can you not like the way they serve their coffee?????
