AA Heritage Drive 2007 Results

Well... we got the 8th prize!!

Breakfast was provided but it was MacDonald's!! Mag & I have not had that for yonks! But no choice lah, so hungry... ugh.. so salty and oily...

We had to answer questions on Singapore, on road safety and driving rules, about HSBC Insurance and their policies. All could be found around the area we were at or by surfing the internet. Mag had wifi access and we also had LC's husband's help at home!

The scanvenger hunt was challenging because they asked for a 1907 calendar!! In the end, we called LC's husband to print a page for us from the internet and detoured on our way back to collect it from him, together with a newspaper cutting.

I had to drive this little toy remote control car around a tiny cirle twice. When they told us R/C car racing circuit, I thought it would be a long circuit using a cool Remote-controlled car with a motor like this link!! Even checked out tips on how to manouver the cars faster. Sigh.. but it was not to be...

The parallel parking challenge was simple for me. But the jigsaw puzzle was the MOST challenging! Firstly, we all had to queue for the longest time (a real WASTE of precious time!) and we only had 40 - 90 seconds to finish a small jigsaw! *phew* Watching others do the task and performing it yourself is completedly different!! We took 75 seconds and managed to get only 4 marks (out of 10)! Sigh...

After returning to the Old Police Academy, we dallied around the carnival for about 2 hours before they announced the winners! I guess they had a hard time totalling the scores. We came in 8th and won a GPS unit. But since none of us were keen to keep it, we decided to auction it off on yahoo. Anyone interested??

Here's a really funny one we took at the police carnival! Fierce or not! Don't play play ah.... !!

Most of the photos are in the video clip below, so check that out.

It is so amazing how fast u put up the visuals! Did u record the video using your hp? quite good resolution. Enjoyed "getting arouund" the video. Ha ha. But u were recording while at a traffic stop. isn't this a road safety sponsored event? Your photo of the stylo police is the best! Great expression. Almost believable.

The video was recorded using my Canon Ixus camera. Wish I remembered to switch it to video mode more often!! That explains why the clip consists of mostly photographs. A few came from Mag's camera too.

Traffic stop video - err.. it was taken by someone sitting behind me. Uh huh... :x
