Where in the world is Croatia?

If you are wondering where Croatia is, here's a map to help you find it.

Croatia is Hrvatska in Croatian and it's currency is the kuna (not Euro yet). It shares the Adriatic Sea with Italy and with it's beautiful clear blue/turquoise water, the Dalmatian Coast and old city of Dubrovnik are favourite vacation destinations for many Germans, Italians, French and even Americans.

Would you believe it was even named the "Destination of the Year 2006" by National Geographic Adventure Magazine!

Remember the handsome Croatian Doctor in the TV series ER, Dr. Luka Kovač? The actor Goran Višnjić was born in Šibenik.

Old Town of Dubrovnik from a distance:

Plitvice Lakes National Park and Krka National Park - two of the most beautiful national parks that we have visited!

It is slowly but surely rebuilding itself from the recent war with the Serbs (from 1991 - 1995 ... yes, this recent!) with many monuments and buildings still displaying the wounds of bullets and missile attacks.

What's missing?

Let's explore Croatia together!! But first, how about some strong kava (espresso) at one of the many little caffe bars?

This entry looks like a Tourism Croatia advertisement! Haha..
