Vanilla Pod

Minus one point for Vanilla Pod for not calling to tell us that a wedding party has booked the place for dinner. We were relegated to a gazebo in the garden. It was cool after the rain, so we thought, why not? It would have been perfect if the table setting had been better though.

Eager to try everything, we ended up over-ordering (again) but we tried everything that had orchids in them.

We had THREE starters...

The Antipasto Misto (an assortment of greens, artichokes, portobello mushrooms, grilled eggplant, grilled zucchini, feta cheese, squash and olives),
Anne Black (orchid) tossed with fresh crabmeat nested on a smoked salmon,

and Mussels in Garlic Butter.


THREE mains...




and by the end of the evening, there was only room for 1 dessert, Kooi Choo Aspic (orchid) in mango jelly.
