Burp me please!
Wow.. It sure looks like I took a day off from work to eat!
Had lunch at Seow Choon Hua Restaurant - it's more like a kopitiam actually.
Their specialty is Red Wine mee sua (Ang-zau/red sorghum) and other Fu Zhou dishes.
Like this Fried Abacus which was a little oily.
Wouldn't say it's fantastic. Ok only lah. The surrounding was more interesting.
And I like this Kopi C which I had at the Old Hokkien kopitiam across the street. No, it's not Guinness tho... hehe...
A little later, dad and I went to Hanabi@Odeon Tower for Japanese buffet. $33++ per person for dinner.
Dad is not a great fan of Japanese food so I had to order the 'safe' dishes. I was hoping to get him hooked on it but I think I failed because I kept hearing "painful laughter" (Ku Xiao) the whole night! sigh...
The sashimi platter was delicious but alas, we didn't order more than one plate.
Very nice lightly smoked salmon sushi. Dunno what it's called in Japenese.
I think he enjoyed the Beef teppan, Vegetables and Bean Sprouts teppan, Prawn tempura and chicken teppan. The rest of the other dishes were all "haha" ok.
The Sushi counter. Almost got seated here but when I told them dad's age, they arranged a table for us!
You can't see much of it but this was Edamame ice cream and Black Sesame ice cream already polished off before the camera was whipped out!
